CHOI Summer School 2011: Typical Dances - Marinera

PERÚ IS A GREAT COUNTRY having a varied cultural heritage in its different manifestations; one of them is related to typical dances that each natural region of the country (Coast, Highland and Jungle) has developed and kept in time. We have a typical dance called Marinera belonging to the Coast of Perú; even though there are other marinera rythms that is founded in the Highland as well, however, the most known is the northern marinera from the Coast.

CHOI Summer School 2011 has included the teaching of this typical dance which was in charge of the teacher Carlos Rojas. Classes started on January 24 at the number 3 room of Youth House compound in Antenor Orrego neighborhood. There were 34 children participating. This was another good initiative of CHOI, in its prevention efforts, in favor of children because they indeed enjoyed this course also.

ESCUELA DE VERANO CHOI 2011: DANZAS TÍPICAS - MARINERA

Niños aprendiendo marinera

PERÚ ES UN GRAN PAIS que tiene una variada herencia cultural en sus diversas manifestaciones; una de ellas se relaciona con las danzas típicas que cada Region Natural del país (Costa, Sierra y Selva) ha desarrollado y mantenido en el tiempo. Tenemos un baile típico llamado Marinera que pertenece a la Costa de Perú; aunque hay otros ritmos de marinera que se encuentran en la Sierra también, sin embargo, la más conocida es la marinera norteña de la Costa.

La Escuela de Verano 2001 de la ONG CHOI, ha incluído la enseñanza de ésta danza típica que estuvo a cargo del profesor de danza Carlos Rojas. Las clases empezaron el 24 de enero en el salón Nro 3 del recinto de la Casa de la Juventud del barrio Antenor Orrego. Hubieron 34 niños que participaron. There were 34 children participating. Ésta fue otra buena inicitaiva de CHOI, dentro de su esfuerzo de prevención, a favor de los niños ya que ciertamente ellos también disfrutaron de éste curso.
